Current opportunities to join our team

FARM MANAGER | cOFARM CAMBRIDGE | salary up TO £42k | full time

Passionate about growing nutritious food sustainably? Perhaps you could be CoFarm Cambridge’s new Farm Manager?

As CoFarm Cambridge enters its 6th growing season, we’re excited to be launching the search for a special ‘plants and people person’ to join our growing team as Farm Manager.

The person we are looking for will be an experienced and knowledgeable head grower/market gardener/farm manager who thrives on enthusing, teaching and giving others the confidence and skills to grow food sustainably. Warm, confident and highly collaborative, you will have a knack for putting people at ease and making them feel comfortable, valued and included.

Creating universal access to sustainable, nutritious food is something you will be passionate about. You will understand why and how a ‘just transition’ to agroecological food and farming systems across the UK - and indeed globally - is key to tackling climate change, biodiversity loss and health inequalities.

Download a recruitment pack for further information and apply by Monday 17th March!

In order to ensure a successful harvest this season, the farm’s seedlings are being raised and supplied on a freelance basis by the previous horticultural lead. The successful candidate will therefore be overseeing the planting of this year’s crops but will not be required to raise this season’s seedlings, as this process is already well underway.

For details and instructions on how to apply please download a PDF copy of the recruitment pack by clicking here, or by hitting the big orange button below.

PLEASE NOTE: THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS MONDAY 17TH MARCH 2025.

Interviews will take place between 26th and 31st March.

The successful candidate/s will be invited to start ASAP, subject to receipt of successful references.

OTHER VOLUNTEERING ROLES

CoFarm Foundation is a tiny charity with a big vision to ensure that, by 2030, everyone in the United Kingdom will have access to local, sustainably produced food and opportunities to enjoy growing and sharing it with others.

We are still a young organisation and need lots of help with building our capacity to realise that vision. We currently have a particular need for support in our office with:

  • Administration - general office administration e.g. preparation of Trustee Board papers and draft minutes and inputting data into our impact monitoring systems

  • Fundraising - research on prospective grant making organisations and assistance with drafting compelling funding applications and reports to donors

  • Marketing & Communications support - researching and drafting web blogs; social media posts and press releases and developing printed and digital marketing materials

If you have a particular flair and experience in any of these areas and some time that you could dedicate on a regular basis to supporting our growth, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch with our Founder & CEO, Gavin Shelton, to set up a call or a meeting.
